White roses signify....

  • Purity and innocence
  • Sometimes called the "flower of light," the white rose also means spiritual
  • love and anticipation of happiness.
  • unity, loyalty, reverence, humility

The white rose has often been adopted by various groups to serve as their emblem, as it represents strength, purity, loyalty etc. The War Of The Roses (1455- 1487 if you remember your history) was between the house of Lancaster (red), and the house of York (white). The white rose was also adopted as the emblem for a peace group in war-time Nazi Germany. There is something refreshing about white roses...have a look at some of the pictures here, and see if you don't agree with me.
